Perspective serves as the filter to how we view life around us. The key to maintaining peace throughout your day is maintaining the right perspective. This will enable you to approach every situation with a heart of love rather than any other emotion that may readily try to substitute itself in love’s place.
I can remember the last time I was on an airplane. Before we took off from the airport, I looked around at all of the landmarks surrounding me. All of the buildings and trees looked absolutely massive. Upon takeoff, the higher we climbed, the smaller the landmarks looked. I was viewing them from a new perspective.
In prayer, we have an invitation from God to gain a fresh perspective and to have key insight into the situations in our lives that may seem daunting. In fact, the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah lets us know that God’s thoughts and ways are higher than ours (Isa. 55:8-9). The apostle Paul invites us into a deeper walk with the Lord by asking His Spirit to reveal the secret mysteries to us that we do not understand (1 Cor. 2:8-9).
I encourage you to invite God’s perspective into your life today. Choose to view everything that happens to and around you from His perspective. You will learn to respond as Jesus would and experience the blessing that comes from obeying God’s way.
